I am super excited about a new dramedy that is in the works called Just Wait.

Just Wait is a feature-length dramedy about Sam. A woman questioning if motherhood is something she wants, when she confides this in her husband he gives her an ultimatum that changes everything. Desperate for answers Sam turns to the eclectic women at a mother’s retreat where she is forced to look inward and trust her gut.

Think grounded Bridesmaids meets This is Us…that’s Just Wait. The film explores what it looks like when a woman goes against the norm to find her own happy ending.

The film confronts societal expectations and the conversation around choice. This subject matter tends to be heavy, but this film brings humor into the conversation. Through laughter people open up and are able to listen.

The filmmakers want to give all women a film where they feel seen and heard, no matter their choices around motherhood. And I love that!!

I think these types of conversations on screen are soooo important, especially given the current climate with falling birthrates and women’s rights being taken away across the globe. This is something all women should support as the key message is choice which resonates with everything I am about.

Written by Alyssa Mann, the film is being executive produced by  Kristina Miller-Weston along with Katie Cunningham and Emily Jackson Hughes.
