Further to this the Australian Bureau of Statistics predicts that sometime in the next decade, the number of couples without children will overtake the number of couples with children. This is a real issue in workplaces across the globe and not one which should be ignored

Both women and men at work need to feel support, given options, flexible work conditions and not face bullying or unfair work practices, regardless of their life choices. Many current policies are geared towards parenthood and supporting this one life choice. Very few include relevant options for people without children. This is a bias assumption that costs employers.
